3 Tamil Movie Expect Release on Pongal

Aishwarya Dhanush, who is donning the hat of a director with her home production 3 is looking to release the movie for Pongal. The film is produced by Kasthuri Raja and is also Shruti Haasan’s second Tamil film after 7aum Arivu. Interestingly, Shruti is also said to be involved with Aishwarya while writing the script of the movie.
While most of the shoots are over, Aishwarya is looking to tweak a few already shot sequences and the post-production will also start soon. 3′s tunes are scored by debut musician Anirudh.
Music Maestro Illayaraja Wife Passed Away

Jeeva Ilayaraja, wife of maestro Ilayaraja passed away around last night at a private hospital, due to a cardiac arrest.
She had complained about chest pain and was rushed to Apollo Hospital, where she passed away. Ilayaraja who was out of the town rushed back to Chennai immediately.
Her children music directors Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja and daughter singer Bhavatharani were by her side.
Her cremation will take place in Pannaipuram in Theni district later today.

Mayakkam Enna which got huge response from the audience for it’s songs and trailer is getting ready for it’s release on Diwali so it’ll be a very big diwali as the other two big films 7aam Arivu directed by A.R. Murugadoss and Velayutham directed by M. Raja releasing on the same date.
7aam Arivu is much expected as the films has Surya and Shruthi haasan playing the lead and music composed by Harris Jeyaraj.

Ajith in Indian Part 2

Producer AM Rathinam, who had produced the smash hit film Indian, which starred Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, is toying with the idea of making a sequel. The producer is planning to rope in director Shankar to direct the film with Ajith in the lead.
The initial discussions are likely to place soon, sources say. Shankar and Ajith were supposed to come together for Jeans, but this did not materialize and Prashanth bagged the offer. If Ajith and Shankar join hands, it would certainly turn out to be the most expected film of the year.

It is reported that the unit members were in for a surprise as Mani, who never has the habit of visiting any star (with the exception of Kamal Haasan earlier) on the sets, walked in the other day. Apparently, both Mani and Ajith were in a cheerful mood and sounded positive.

Trisha is notoriously famous for her poor Tamil, which has resulted in dubbing artistes being used for all but a couple of her films. However, for Ajith’s golden jubilee film, Mankatha, Trisha will dub for herself. Apparently, director Venkat Prabhu and Ajith felt it would be better that way and together they convinced her.
Venkat Prabhu said that Trisha has an important role in the film. He said that the actress shares great chemistry with Ajith and their scenes together in the film are sizzling. Her voice would suit the character perfectly and so he asked her to do the dubbing and Trisha obliged. So audiences can start preparing to hear her particular brand of Tamil mixed with English dialect.

Taapsee’s first film was Jhummandi Naadam and she is working her way to the top in Tollywood with several films in her kitty. Her venture in Tamil, Vandhaan Vendraan, with Jiiva, is to be released shortly. She also forayed into the Malayalam film circuit with Doubles, in which she was paired opposite megastar Mammootty.
Apart from south Indian films, Taapsee has also signed a Bollywood flick which is the remake of yesteryear hit Chashme Baddoor, which is due to begin soon.

Rowthiram Hits Screen On August 12

Rowthiram will be released on August 12, 2011. The expectations are high because Rowthiram stars Jiiva, whose earlier outing Ko was a grand success. Rowthiram is directed by debutant Gokul and produced by Jiiva’s father RB Choudhury of Super Good Films.
The producer had re-shot some important scenes in the film because he wanted Jiiva to hold on to the success that he got in Ko. This has certainly upped the expectation levels for Rowthiram.
The film has Shriya Saran playing Jiiva’s arm candy. The music for Rowthiram has been scored by newbie Prakash Nikki.

Mankatha and 7aam Arivu’s music launch dates will be announced very soon. According to director Venkat Prabhu, Sony Music will announce the audio launch date of Mankatha tomorrow, 26 July 2011. Along with the audio, the trailer of the film will also be out, Venkat Prabhu declared.
In yet another development, producer Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies has said that the final mixing of 7aam Arivu is happening at Harris Jayraj’s studio and the audio release date will be announced in a couple of days.
Since Mankatha and 7aam Arivu stars Ajith and Suriya respectively, fans of these two stars are excited about the news.
Rowthiram Audio Releases Today

The audio launch of Rowthiram is slated to be held this evening at Hotel Green Park in Chennai. The function is expected to begin at 6 pm. The film’s lead star Jiiva, producer RB Choudhury, Jithan Ramesh and several others are expected to participate in this event.

Anushka and Santhanam Seems Different Role in Deiva Thirumagal

Santhanam has become famous for his comedy tracks featuring himself and the hero whether it is Jiiva, Karthi, Arya, or STR. In Deivathirumagal however, his comedy routines will be with Anushka. This promises to be a refreshing twist in the tale. Apparently the duo had a great time shooting these scenes and had the entire unit in splits.
Anushka makes a complete departure from the kind of roles she has played so far in Tamil cinema. Seeman cheat Tamil Heroine?

Vijayalakshmi, who had acted as Suriya’s pair in Friends, and played Nayanthara’s sister in Boss Engira Bhaskaran, lodged a complaint against Seeman for making false promises that he would marry her.
The actress met the Commissioner of Police yesterday and gave her complaint. When reporters contacted Seeman, his advocate Chandrasekar said that these are false allegations made to tarnish Seeman’s image.
The advocate also said that Seeman is planning to marry a Sri Lankan Tamil who was affected during the internal strife in that country and preparations are going on.

Doctors direct Rajini to ICU

Rajinikanth will undergo advanced treatment for kidney ailment at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Singapore. It was at this same hospital the former Samajwadi General Secretary Amar Singh had undergone kidney transplant few months ago.
This indicates that Rajini may also undergo a kidney transplant. But there is no official announcement on this and the hospital is refusing to give out any details pertaining to the Superstar’s health to maintain his privacy.
Sources say that the doctors are evaluating if Rajinikanth requires a kidney transplant or not. It is said that his kidney functions are satisfactory at the moment and the doctors will arrive at a conclusion in a couple of days.
There are reports that Rajini has been admitted to the ICU at the hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
Vanitha Vijayakumar arrested!

Vanitha Vijayakumar, daughter of actor Vijayakumar has been arrested! She has been in the news following an ugly altercation with members of her family that resulted in arrest warrants being issued variously for her father, Vijayakumar, step-brother Arun Vijay, and later her second husband Anandaraj. Apparently, the tussle happened following a bitter argument with Vijayakumar allegedly detaining her son Vijay Srihari, whose father is Akash her first husband.
Following this drama, Akash petitioned successfully for custody of his son, and the Madras High court granted him custody for 5 days a week with the stipulation that the child be returned to the mother for the duration of the weekend. Vanitha claims that Akash has ignored the ruling and is not allowing her to see the nine year old boy.
Vanitha met with the Virugambakkam police and lodged a complaint but she claims no action was taken. She then staged a protest outside Akash’s house declaring a fast unto death if her son was not returned immediately to her. The police then arrived on the scene and arrested her for being a public nuisance and disturbing the peace.

Suriya starrer Maatraan is ready to kick start and the unit is all set to shoot a schedule near Pakistan border. Director K V Anand is all geared up for this project and the expectations are high as the duo is paring up after the blockbuster Ayan.
After shortlisting from a long list of actresses, K V Anand has finally zeroed in on Kajal Agarwal as the female lead for Maatraan.
S.Soundar Rajan who has wielded the camera for movies like Ananthapurathu Veedu, Aadi and Billa in Telugu has been roped in for the project. Editing is by Antony and Art direction is by Rajeevan.
Ameer and Vijay Combined in project of Kannabiran

Both Ameer and Vijay have achieved cult status in their respective spheres. Ameer’s Paruthiveeran has peaked his reputation while Vijay has had a comeback with Kaavalan. The director is yet to release a film after Paruthiveeran for more than four years.
His Aadhibhagavan with Jayam Ravi in rustic attire is taking shape. Meanwhile, Ameer has signed Vijay for his next film which is tentatively titled as Kannabiran. It will be a commercial film aimed at the masses along with Vijay’s fans.
Looks like mass and class elements will work in tandem in Ameer’s and Ilayathalapathi Vijay’s ‘Kannabiran’. Will this combination be powerful enough to pull the masses? Of course, it will set the cash registers ringing for a few weeks at least.
